What's the difference between venues and amenities in GWDB? Why do I have both?
Amenities is a place for you to be able to share details of your tasting room, your vacation rental, restaurant, wine club, or other features of your winery that you want to highlight to the world. These are made visible to the world currently through TradeSites™. Here are some TradeSites you can explore with examples -
Venues are where you can enter your details for your tasting room, your vacation rental, restaurant, etc. Similar to amenities but these have character field limits and slightly different options you can select. Venues have been created for printed physical guides.
There is a duplication between the two areas in GWDB. We opted to create them both because of the character limitations of the printed material. This way in your digital TradeSite you can still share every detail you want about your tasting room, tour, or anything else you want to chat about in your amenities. While in venues you can have a slightly different copy that fits into printing limits.
